RETURNS & REFUND POLICY
Services Refunds are not available. Series packages are non-refundable and non-transferable. In the event you are dissatisfied with the service provided, you must notify management immediately or within no more than 24 hours post treatment. At Managements discretion, we will offer to re-do the service at no additional cost if it is found to be fault of our product or service quality.
We do not offer refunds on Products & Reactions The assumption seems to be that product reactions should be covered by distributors. This idea comes from the cosmetic days when products were light, fluffy and basically didn’t have the ability to stimulate or change the behaviour of the skin. Our product brands are cosmeceutical to cosmedical grade hence will more than likely trigger a skin response. THIS IS NOT A REACTION. Where once tingling, warmth, some redness, flakiness were a negative reaction today they are evidence of a positive response (action in the skin). Many of our ingredients are encapsulated hence the time release benefit of this technology has products working overtime, an action many skins are simply not used to. As a result it is important to understand the following- We do not cover –
- Incorrect product choice
- Reactions as a result of the above
- Responses caused by active ingredients and encapsulated ingredients such as retinol, AHA, BHA, niacinamide, resveratrol and so on – these reactions are responses common with these ingredients and the skin needs to slowly acclimatise to the actives (staff training is essential to understand this and get it right)
- A return due to change of mind, don’t like the texture, smell or feel after purchasing. Testers are provided for this very reason.
At our discretion we will cover – TRUE ALLERGY REACTIONS. These reactions usually occur within 24 hours of application and must be returned with product packaging and a photo of the reaction. Please respect this requirement and understand photographic evidence supports our continual research and development. There is absolutely no problem when you return a TRUE ALLERGY reaction with product packaging and a photo. Return postage is the responsibility of the sender. Cancellation or Changing of an Appointment Time
At The Body Bar Clinic we strive to exceed your expectations. On occasions you may need to change your appointment time or day and will always respect this. To avoid any inconvenience, we kindly ask that you give a minimum of 24 hours’ notice so that another client has the opportunity to make an appointment.
Each service we provide requires a specific amount of time. When booking in for services, please ensure you advise if you wish to have any additional treatments added to your appointment. We would hate to disappoint you on the day if you are wanting additional services. If you have booked in for a few services and are no longer requiring all services, please let us know prior to you appointment so we can adjust the service time required. If you do not notify us to changes prior to the day of your appointment, you will still be liable for the full cost of services booked.
At The Body Bar Clinic we are responsible for providing professional and highly trained Therapist at your appointment time every time. We are ready to serve. When making any appointment with The Body Bar Clinic we require a minimum $20.00 deposit (longer appointments may require a larger deposit), which will be processed from your credit card over the phone. You may also choose to drop into the clinic to pay the deposit in person. This deposit is then applied to your final bill at the completion of your treatment or rolled over to any future appointments if you wish to re-book. If you do not arrive for your appointment or provide less than 24 hours’ notice to cancelling your appointment, the deposit will be forfeited.
Your appointment will be confirmed via a text message or email to your nominated mobile phone or email 48-72 hours prior to your appointment. We ask that you simply respond to this confirmation text to confirm you are planning to attend. If you do not confirm your appointment, we are unable to guarantee your booking. Please note this is an automated text system and we are unable to receive messages. You must call the clinic if you need to re-schedule your appointment.
Everyone runs late from time to time. On any such occasion we will do everything possible to complete your treatment in the remaining time. Out of respect to clients following your appointment and our desire to run on time for all appointments, if you are late, your treatment time will be reduced. We may not be able to guarantee your full treatment time.
Should the unfortunate occasion occur that you do not arrive for your appointment and have not given the requested notice time of 24 hours, one of the following may be implemented:
a) You will forfeit your deposit
b) You will be requested to pay a deposit when next booking an appointment
c) A treatment will be forfeited if your appointment included a pre-purchased treatment from a package.
To ensure you are able to enjoy your full allocated treatment time, we suggest that you arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment. If you are a first time client, we will need to collect personal details from you in order to best tailor your experience.
Our mission is to create an environment of relaxation, so with this in mind, we request that all clients please consider the quite and privacy needs of other salon clients by keeping noise to a minimum and turning off mobile phones. Parents, please note that there are no child-care arrangements available at The Body Bar Clinic and we have a very firm no children in the clinic to ensure we adhere strict Occupational Health and Safety procedures.
For clients who have heart conditions, high blood pressure, allergies or are pregnant, we advise that you consult your doctor prior to your treatment. Please highlight your medical conditions to your therapist. Clients are reminded of their obligations under the law for beauty salons and spas to bring to the attention of management any medical condition which may present a public health threat.
Management accepts no responsibility for the loss of money or valuables of any kind brought onto The Body Bar Clinic premises.
CHILDREN IN THE CLINIC
At The Body Bar Clinic we adhere to strict Occupational Health and Safety procedures. We have assessed the risk from electrical equipment, hot wax, steam and other dangers in the treatment rooms to be too high for children not under close and direct supervision by their parent. For this reason, we do not permit children in the treatment rooms. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times and remain in the waiting area. Out of respect of client enjoyment, we request the clinic remains a tranquil environment in relation to noise. We appreciate your respect for this policy and our priority is your children’s safety.
Gift Certificates for redemption at The Body Bar Clinic may be purchased by choosing the “E-Voucher” option on the Website. Choose from one of the pre-packaged treatments suggested or enter the dollar amount to suit your requirements. The Body Bar Clinic E-Vouchers are delivered straight to your inbox to print or come with a stylish box and ribbon within the actual shipping package and may be shipped directly to a third party recipient as a gift if that is your intention. Gift Certificates are valid for a 6-month period from the date of purchase, are non-refundable or redeemable for cash. Gift Certificates are only redeemable on full priced services and are not valid for product purchase unless specified on the Gift Certificate at the time of purchase.
Please be aware that product images may vary depending on your computer settings and therefore may not give a true depiction of what the product actually looks like. Please bear this in mind when making your purchase.
Orders received before Monday to Thursday are dispatched with 24 hours. Orders received after Thursday on weekends or public holidays will be shipped the next business day. If any delays are experience in processing your order you will be contacted by email or phone. Delivery times quoted are approximate and should be used as a guide only. Customers located outside the next day delivery network or in regional Australia should allow an additional 1-3 days for delivery. A signature is required on delivery to a residential or business address. If nominating a business address, please ensure you include the business or company name in the address field. Customers are required to pay a re-delivery fee if parcels are returned to The Body Bar Clinic due to insufficient delivery address details. Authority to leave without a signature. If your parcel is being delivered to your home address, you can authorise for it to be left without a signature. Please request this service in the comments box during the checkout process and provide clear instructions on where you would like the parcel left. The Body Bar Clinic and its freight handling agents will not be held liable for lost or stolen goods.

Please advise upon booking of any ailments, disabilities, pregnancy or any special needs before your Float Tank or Sauna Session.
Consumption of drugs or alcohol before treatments is not recommended and you will not be allowed to float or use the sauna while under the influence.
Clients are responsible for notifying staff if they are on any medications that may affect their ability to float or use the sauna safely. Eg: Medications whose side effects include lowered blood pressure, vertigo, nausea, or extreme drowsiness. If you are under the care of a physician for any severe illness or are pregnant, you will be required to notify staff. A doctor’s clearance may be required before floating or using the sauna.
If we think you won’t be suitable for a Float Tank or Sauna Session we will advise you. Staff have the right to refuse service to anyone without warning due to Occupational Health and Safety procedures.
